About Us:
Presque Isle Wine Cellars opened in 1964. We are located in a beautiful wooded area beside Twelve-Mile Creek, which affords a lovely place for picnics and enjoying the area in and around the creek. One of our owners pioneered in growing European wine grape varieties in our area. Our wines have earned many distinguished awards over the years. Let us assist you in cultivating your wine experience. Doug & Marlene Moorhead, Marc & Lauri Boettcher and their staff invite you to visit our beautiful creekside location for tasting, tours, and other fun.
Our Wines:
We produce over 20,000 gallons of table wine each year, primarily from Vitis vinifera varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Blaufrankisch, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris, Viognier as well as from such Hybrids as Seyval Blanc, Vidal, Noiret, and Chambourcin.
Our wines have consistently won medals in national and international competitions including the PA Governor's Cup and Best Vinifera.
